ABOUT
CHRIS DARIO
Chris Dario, Founder and President of Dario Construction Company (DCC) grew up with a family of contractors and was introduced to the construction industry at a young age. Chris served in the United States Army, prior to receiving a degree in Architecture, from The Catholic University of America. While attending CUA, he worked with Gensler, one of the largest Architecture firms in the world. During his time at Gensler, Chris rediscovered his passion for construction.
In 2001, Chris transitioned from Architecture to construction after being afforded an opportunity to manage a project that was designed by Gensler. As a prior member of the design team, he had vast knowledge of the project, which allowed for a seamless transition. This 12-story development helped catapult his career and allowed him to work along side a premiere commercial developer and for a well known ENR. top 100 contractor.
Throughout his career, Chris was a senior level construction manager and business developer for multiple ENR. top 100 General Contractors, in the Washington DC market. He has successfully managed projects in excess of 2.5M square feet with a value of over $400M. These projects include; multiple 12-story high rise offices with below grade garages, retail, medical and industrial projects, as well as high-end tenant build outs for government, corporate, and non-profit clients.
In 2015, Chris was fortunate enough to bring his knowledge and experience back to his home town of Fredericksburg. This opportunity allowed him to spend more time with his family and to start his own business in one of the fastest-growing regions in Virginia.
